Ranking is based entirely on physical stats relative to other Canadian resorts such as vertical, skiable area, and number of runs.

It's not perfect, but is intended to provide a cross-section analysis of the relative size of one resort to the next. Obviously, elements such as friendliness, services, and general enjoyment of a given resort are harder to quantize, although they may be of higher importance.

Currently the ranking is calculated with the average being considered as 50%.
